Server Status: Online Current Countdown Arrived Patch 6.41 Current Patch ( more) Just work on it and slowly progress there.Current Patch: 6.4 Live Letter Part LXXVII Summary Subreddit Monthly Meta: June But you don't need to worry about doing it right away if you're just casual/mid-core. (And the occasional accessory if/when we get 4 pages or if one drops when we clear a5s) Especially with 240 lore gear now being switched in, I have to re-meld anyways. My currently plan is to throw 120 into the anima, and meld whatever else I need to hid the cap, and then meld whatever else I like. But that's because I had already melded SS crit and piety when I started raiding, and didn't have the time/funds to go through and re-meld accuracy to everything just to hit the cap. Now I say all this where I currently have no accuracy melded :X.

So whereas I didn't feel the misses as much in A5S, I do in 6. A6S is pretty much the opposite (we're still learning this fight) but because each boss's arena is so small, it's a lot easier to stance dance. It's also a bit fight-dependent with A5S there's so much running around on a big map that you often can't stay still log enough to do much dps. Moments like that are when every accurate hit counts. Let's say one of your DPS derped and died, or all 4 of them got hit with a damage down debuff and you're not quite sure if you can down the shadow dragon fast enough. Now imagine you're in a fight with a soft DPS check, like the add phase of Nidhogg EX. Now if I pop it at the start and throw out my dots and some stones, we can push past the first prey mechanic, which is just easier on everyone. With my group when we were first learning A5S I pretty much never switched to cleric stance, because, well, we were learning. But being able to pump out some DPS has a lot of other benefits, pushing phases is a big one. Will it make or break your clear-capabilities? No. Having your main healer hit the accuracy cap is great for optimization, but it's not needed for clearing.īut that doesn't mean you shouldn't meld it. The short answer is, no, it's not a requirement. I do go as the "main healer" and our SCH is probably in cleric stance 80% - 90% of the time, depending on the fight. Also worth mentioning that we're a pretty mid-core group. I play white mage and pair with a scholar in my group, so hopefully I can share some insight (as I will occasionally change it up and go with AST if I feel like it).
